With Hue, Philips has a very extensive connected lights system, offering quality light and colour in a home setting. However, one this has been missing from their line-up. This morning Philips fixed that with the announcement of a brand new E14 bulb.
E14 bulbs are most commonly used in decorative lights, and this is why Philips is debuting two bulbs at once. First is the Philips Hue white ambience candle, a bulb that can be set between a very warm and concertrating cold light (2200k-6500k). The second is the Philips Hue white and color ambience candle. This light has all the white lights, plus 14 million colours.
“The candle has been one of the most requested products by Philips Hue customers. We’ve spent time ensuring it is of the highest quality and available in both white ambiance and white and color ambiance. It is an important next step to ensure seamless integration in all rooms, giving you the freedom to personalize lighting throughout your home,” says Sridhar Kumaraswamy, Business Leader Connected Home Systems at Philips Lighting.
The bulbs will be available in Europe by the end of April, and later this year in North America, priced from 35.95 euro.
